I am Michael Amdini. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have been working with animals since 2000. I started working in a local no-kill shelter, Dierenasiel Almere, until I left for Canada in 2012. In 2005 I completed a college degree in Animal Management, Animal Husbandry, Animal Nutrition, and Veterinary Technician. In 2009 I completed my bachelor degree in Animal Management, with a focus in Dog and Cat Nutrition. After moving to Canada I started working for Prince George Veterinary Hospital. In 2014 I accepted a job as Assistant Manager for the BCSPCA North Cariboo District. After seeing that I can offer the citizens of Prince George a new and high quality of animal care, I decided to start my own business.

We signed up for dog training with Michael this summer. Michael was very patient, knowledgeable and great with both us and our dog Nita. The course was as much for training the dog as it was for training us! Michael showed all of us how effective positive reinforcement training can be, and the importance of consistency and practice in all types of environments. We have noticed a huge improvement over the 8 week course and are very happy with the training we all received. Aside from the training curriculum, Michael had many tips for other doggie related questions and behaviours. Lastly, it was really great to receive handouts with step by step instructions at the end of each session to keep for reference. Thank you Michael for all your help and teachings!
My 7 month old puppy is a couple of weeks into classes now and I'm already seeing a lot of improvement. Michael is friendly and patient with her and he is very knowledgeable. Training is very much about rewarding good behavior opposed to punishing bad behavior which I think is very beneficial. I have done puppy classes in the past (with a different dog) but have already learned a couple of tricks and new training methods.
When we started with Michael, our dog Duke was a mess. Bad manners, no concept of basic commands and so overly excited. Since doing the program, we have seen such a dramatic change in him. Michael is extreamly calm and informative, and love that he gives detailed homework for what you learned that class so you can continue the training at home or have it for reference. Would highly recommend.
